Beth Hoeckel is one of my favorite artists right now. She uses an exacto knife to collage photos, mostly vintage ones, into vibrant pieces, many with deeper symbolic meanings. Some of my favorite pieces of hers are simply many items of the same color collaged together to create a really interesting composition. She designs album covers often (i.e. Future Islands). I always am super inspired by her and would love to start using more collage techniques in my own design work.
