Millions of license-free illustrations

The British library has just released a bunch of maps, drawings, illustrations, handwritten letters, geological diagrams, cartoons, comics, posters, and decorative scrolls free of charge and free of copyright to the internet. This is part of their effort to digitize history and they are making it easier for creatives to draw on references from the past.
