We Are What We Eat

“The United Nations is aiming to shed light on global issues surrounding food safety by hosting its first ever art exhibit titled We Are What We Eat. Showcased at the headquarters in New York, works from artists Liu Bolin (China), Edward Burtynsky (Canada), Jim Draper (United States), Pepe López (Venezuela) and Vik Muniz (Brazil) will be featured to hone in on concepts such as malnutrition, population growth and food technology, among others. Aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2, the exhibit will emphasize the need for sustainable agriculture, along with access to enhanced nutrition via education and activism. Additionally, artist Liu Bolin will be named Global Ambassador to the UN for his efforts on increasing social awareness.”
